We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and news of expecting our first child. We had family that flew in from the northeast just to celebrate this special occasion. My father-in-law wanted to treat us and he told us to go with the best steakhouse in town so we chose J-Prime. My husband ordered a tomahawk steak for himself and requested that it be medium, charred on the outside (Pittsburg style) and not already sliced but presented whole and then sliced in front of him. I had a reservation for the 14th of february at 9 p.m. I made the reservation 3 weeks in advance. I got there at 8:55 and told me i had a wait of 45 min. After 1 hour and 30 min of waiting decided to go to another restaurant at 10:30.
The staff, along with the customers are really ugly and rude. They treat you like you are beneath them.
This restaurant is listed in participating in restaurant week but we had to proactively ask for the special menu as neither our hostess nor servers offered it. This same thing occurred last year for restaurant week. I think this practice is very tacky and unprofessional for such an upscale establishment. Food and service, however, was the best we've experienced in a very long time.

We had made a reservation a week in advance and they said it would be a 30-45 minute wait when we arrived. We were very frustrated by that. The food was alright, but my scallops were bland. Not really impressed and probably won’t return.
The drinks, amuse-bouche, soup, and appetizer were fantastic. The $250 steak was a major disappointment. I wont go back.

They made out drinks wrong 6 times! (two rounds of 3), and wouldn’t take our order until drinks were served (30 mins). Steak was cooked wrong and had to be taken back. Service was unbearably slow, we wanted dessert but couldn’t bear the wait. And top of that we got the bill and they charged us $10 for condiments. I don’t know why we come back here.
