Excellent service. Extremely loud. Steaks overcooked. Appetizers and sides were very good.
Extremely overpriced. $65 for 4 diver scallops before tax and tip- out of this world stupid! Wine is way marked up. How about $27 for meat sliders :/ Service is 4 star, that’s about it, definitely not good enough for classy restaurants, which there aren’t many in San Antonio. Booked a table for 2 people in the “Bar” but was seated in a back room adjacent to the bar, not in the Bar. Then was asked if we would move to another table (after being served our salads) in the same area to accommodate another group. Our server was lovely and no issue with service. Food was ok. Overall very disappointing.

Waiter was very inattentive, food was delicious but our drinks were only refilled when staff was flagged down due to waiters lack of attention
Worse experience ever at J Prime. Website says dress code business casual but after asked to be moved from bar stool because they’re the favorite stools of two loyal customers. I felt like I had to own a Tesla and wear the 2022 Fall collection from Milan. We left the restaurant. To our surprise, we met the owners of JPrime Steakhouse. Well, the kitchen caught on fire after we ordered but before even one drink was delivered 😳 [June 16, 2022] Initial impression is very positive of the staff / atmosphere / ambiance. The birthday balloon and table card was a very nice touch. We’ll be back for the porterhouse for two.
Use to be our favorite and best place to eat. Now seems like trying to cut corners and quality now is subpar.
Stay away unless you want a really special event that takes you to a service level not seen in COVID days
