The Pixley sweep arrived on time, after giving a 10-minute heads-up via phone, and went right to work. After completing his cleaning, he showed me the interior of the chimney with his video camera and display unit. The video revealed one small flaw in the mortar between two of the tiles lining the flue but he suggested this only need be re-examined in another year or 2 and was not a cause for immediate concern. Was told an inspection would be adequate. He looked in the chimney with a camera and left. No cleaning other than a quick vacuum of the hearth. Did not clean ashes out of burn area or do anything in the chimney other than look. Total time 30 to 45 minutes. $169.00 seems a little high for such a short visit. He was professional and seemed to know what he was doing so I will not make a final judgement on only one visit. He did make a point of not providing unnecessary service which did reduce the cost by $120.

Jack Pixley was so professional compared to ANY chimney sweeps we have hired in the past. They did a very thorough job, offered safety and additional advice but not "additional urgent services performed by them." I felt very comfortable with their advice being truly in my best interest not a sales effort. I will definitely hire them again. They were on time, respectful, knowledgable and thorough.
Kurt showed up on time. He was very friendly and professional. Swept our chimney clean and even showed us our flue on his camera. We would hire Jack Pixley Sweeps again in a heart beat.
