Overall, the place was good and most of the food was enjoyable. However, the chicken wings were disappointing and could definitely be improved. Additionally, the bathroom was dirty, which took away from the overall experience. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and food quality, this spot could be much better.

Shid (our server) was fantastic and responsive, and the food was great. His managers however were inattentive and not helpful to their staff. Of particular concern is several times walking by tables who obviously had been sat for 10-12 minutes with no initial greeting. Also, I understand downtown has some safety concerns, but having your beefy security guard stomping aggressively through the restaurant while openly carrying what appeared to be a handgun strapped to the front of his belt is imprudent at best. the service felt long after we placed our orders in. Waiter only checked in once. Love the allergy awareness. Food tasted mediocre , ive came to this restaurant before and to the WH location but it was average food and service
While the atmosphere at Joey DTLA is appealing, the lunch experience fell significantly short on value and execution. A lunch for two, consisting only of two Tuna Poke bowls, exceeded $70, which is simply too high for the offering. The Tuna Poke itself was mediocre, and the portion of tuna was surprisingly sparse. Furthermore, the service was unacceptably slow; we faced a long wait time for our food and had to prompt staff to check on our order. This performance is not commensurate with the price point.
Wait staff needs to remember they are WAITING STAFF, anyone that pays to eat there is above them no matter race, weight etc. this is dtLA no BH. Do better gays and gworls
Honestly our overall experience was poor at best. Upon being seated at our table we waited approximately 20 minutes before having to engage the receptionist that our waiter never approached our table. Thereafter the overall service was lacking and the quality of the food was overly bland only to taste excessive sauce. I don’t think I will ever be returning to a Joey restaurant again.

It was very cold inside out food came cold. The server never brought utensils or other items asked for.
I got a dish I frequently order, and it seemed to be missing some ingredient (s) from previous outings. Also the portion felt just a bit smaller.
Quite underwhelming experience. We came with a high expectation after having tried the Joey at Newport Beach. The food tasted way worse than the other location. Service wasn't great either. Our server kept asking us if we want to order Entree right after we ordered drinks and appetizers. Don't know why. Place is quite noisy too.
