We had a reservation on Father’s Day. I requested an indoor booth on my reservation weeks ago. After waiting 20 minutes past our reservation time, no apologies, no complimentary appetizer for their tardiness. They called our name to be seated and sat us outside at one of their metal table/chair tables. These are reserved for people without reservations I guarantee you. Fathers Day lunch and first time here. OUTSTANDING in everyway. Food was creative and off the charts good. We are more than happy to pay up for great food, excellent service and a fun, comfortable atmosphere. Joey was all of that. I hope this place makes it long term and we will put this restaurant on rotation.
Inside may be quieter. Out side it seemed awfully noisy. Very large crowd though.
Joey is always a great experience. The food is great (although I wish they would stop taking things off the menu that I like) and the service is upbeat and fast (Yun was terrific!). Just a great time every time!

We love dining at Joey Newport Beach. We love receiving a glass of champagne upon arrival. The ravioli Bianca, chicken lettuce wraps and gyoza are my favorites. I am a big fan of Joey Newport Beach.
We absolutely loved our experience at Joeys. Food was delicious and came out exceptionally fast. We had great service and will definitely be back!
We had a reservation for a party of 6 for a celebration dinners we arrived on time but had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. The “hostess” kept offering us free champagne and saying that our table was going to ready in just a few minutes. We could see two tables that were ready that she kept pointing towards and we were eventually seated at one of them. I’m not sure what the issue is but waiting to be seated 30 minutes after your reservation time when the table has been empty for the entire 30 minutes is just poor service. Ev... read more
