I tried Keke's a few months back at the Lake Mary location and thought it was just... okay. But I was also sick at the time so I figured I'd give it another shot... plus if you're up for brunch, why not go? I ordered the Eggs Florentine and the Fruit Salad (which I remember I loved last time). The Eggs Florentine was okay but after the first piece I couldn't eat anymore. Seemed unable to accommodate a party of 6. Way off on the wait time. Food is ok. Expect the front staff to be clueless when it's busy.
I feel almost bad for saying this because Keke's is usually my favorite place to get breakfast but this visit was just bad. Everything started nice enough. Got our coffee quick, put our order in and waited for our food. And waited...and waited...This location provides a window into the kitchen so you can watch the cooks work. I have gone to other Keke's breakfast places multiple times and had good experiences. However, a couple days ago I went to this Keke's and had poor quality service and poor quality food. My eggs were cold and our waitress didn't fill our waters for a long time. I was very disappointed considering this is one of my top breakfast places in general.
Had breakfast here this morning. Food was good, as was the service. However, we really like " real" maple syrup with our waffles and pancakes. We were discussing running to Publix( a few doors down), to get some if they didn't have it. When our waitress took our order we asked her if they had maple syrup. Her response was a simple yes. I'm a little disappointed by this Keke's location. I've been there twice and each time I've been there I find myself saying how subpar it is in comparison to the other Keke's locations that I've been to. Each time I've eaten here, everything just seems to lack flavor, or is not properly prepared. For instance, my wife and I got breakfast dishes that included home fries, and we both got cold home fries on our dishes. Not the best Keke's location. Disappointment.
Service was lackadaisical, food was just ok. We were here on a weekday so we didn't have to wait. I would have been sorely disappointed had that been the case. I expected better after the reviews on Yelp.
Service is awful at this location. Food is great. Order to go often, 90% of the time they forget something even after they double check. One of the managers will not offer anything other than an apology for anything missing in order, forget receiving credit because both managers will forget to put it in the system. Today I ordered food they said they double checked as soon as I pulled out I checked they forgot my OJ, and one of my sides. Foods great if they don't mess everything up.
Always been a HUGE fan of Keke's and bring any friends or family visiting Orlando for a great breakfast. Every time I've been to this location, it's disappointed. While I'm used to Millenia's great service, polite wait staff and delicious food, this location lacks all that. After waiting 90 mins on a Sunday morning (which isn't the issue, I expected a wait), the last thing I want is rubbery waffles, burnt home fries and a rude waiter.
