When checked in due to the heat wave however the room we were given the air conditioner barely worked and we were given a hard time to switch rooms

Staff was nice. Rooms could use an upgrade. Breakfast was minimal.

First time in NJ and first stay at this hotel, but I've stayed at Wyndham hotels in the past. CONS: It was visibly aged with few amenities. The few pieces of equipment in the gym were all broken as was the water machine. So no workong out. Staff was hardly around to ask questions. There was no room cleaning or services, even though I requested it. I had to hunt down Staff on two occasions to ask for replacement towels and soap. y experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was the lack of cleanliness. As soon as we arrived and stepped into the elevator, we were met with an unbearable smell of urine. My family used three different rooms, and all of them had serious issues. One room had dead insects behind the nightstand. Another still had leftover food inside the mini-fridge. The third room had an empty mini-fridge, but it was extremely dirty.
