Our family has been taking our most loved pups for the last 15 years to the Lafayette Animal Hospital. We have seen just about every Dr in the practice and I can say without reservation these doctors care deeply about their patients and their patients owners. This became so apparent when our beloved golden retriever, Shakespeare, was diagnosed initially with a rare immune system disorder IMHA and then ultimately with cancer. My 16 year-old dog is as close to my heart as any being can be. I have taken her to Lafayette Animal Hospital for so many years that we joke that her file is as large as a phone book! During all this time, I have never felt that they did not take her health and well-being seriously. Dr. Drozdz has been great with our Tibetan terrier. She suggested a dental cleaning that was long overdue and found an infected tooth that she was able to pull. When our dog had a bad reaction to the anesthesia she saw him without an appointment and gave him iv fluids at no cost. And most importantly she instinctively understood his issues. She is great!!!
I don't post reviews very often, but I felt writing this one was important. When it comes to taking my dog to a vet, I'm very particular. The facility, staff and doctors exceeded my expectations. In the few times that we've run into issues, their team has graciously worked with me to get it resolved quickly. That kind of integrity goes very far with me and I will continue bringing my dog here. Tell your friends and their fluffy friends all about this special place!
Best dental. Dr. Drozdz probably saved my dog's life. I'd been bringing my small Maltese to another vet for dental's and not sure they ever got it right. Dr. Drozdz is a terrific vet who also specializes in dental cleanings. I didn't want to spend the $ but extremely grateful I did. They did an outstanding job. My dog feels better and it's clear that she's healthier. Even her tongue appears more pink. If you're on the fence, spend the money. It's so worth it.
I've had great experiences with the doctors, but the receptionists at the front desk are so incredibly rude. They're rude in person and they are rude on the phone. if they can't handle the traffic in the hospital or on the phones then they should be hiring more receptionists. A lot of people are under stress with their animals being sick and they don't need to be treated with disrespect.
You really can't go wrong here. Docs are friendly, thorough and caring. All care is discussed in advance, with an estimate, prior to proceeding. We got good advice to help us reduce weight gains in our pets, followed it, and found that it really works! All staff clearly love animals and help nervous pets to calm down. Best of all, our pets are happy and healthy.
The Lafayette Animal Hospital has been my "go to" Vet for 23 yrs. Some docs come and go, but they are always knowledgeable and friendly. Over the years, I've never been dissatisfied.
