We owe a couple rounds of whisky to the Founding Father of Gastown, Captain Jack Deighton. Also known as "Gassy Jack," he was a pilot turned saloonkeeper who loved to gas, & no, that doesn't mean what you might think it means. In Victorian times, the term meant to talk a lot & the Captain loved to do just that. This place is absolutely amazing!!!! This is our first time here from California and we had “That Crispy Chicken Sandwich” with their yam fries and every bite was delectable!!! I am a big foodie and very critical of what good food consists of. Well... I can promise you that this is GOOD food!!! I was at Local Gastown this last Saturday with a few of my girls and we didn't leave the entire night. We stayed until 2am!!! The music the DJ was playing gave such good vibes which lead to many margaritas. Jason was an awesome host! All around a fab night! We will be back!!! ;)
