drink specials are great, and service has always been great. Fast and friendly. Food is a bit expensive though .. $19 for nachos , Really??!! +$5 for quac . Wow. I come for the good beer, I would come more often if the food was reasonably priced.

Didn't eat food. Sunday night, only a few other tables which would be my only knock. Their stout beer was fantastic. I spilled about half of my beer and without question the server gave me a free new full beer and quickly cleaned up my clumsy mess. Also a cool view of northshore all lit-up at night if you sit on the patio or go around the side to the parking lot to see.

Decided to try this new version in Gastown with friends Had a wonderful experience with food Chicken pot pie Club sandwich Veggie burgers All made our crew of 6 very happy with 33 acres beers The server was amazing and very attentive Highly recommend a stop on a warm evening night and sit outside on the patio

Since we came here to soak in the local nightlife and not for food, I can only provide a rating based on my time here, drinking beer, and enjoying the atmosphere and chatting it up withe the "locals" at Local. Based on that criteria, five stars is a no-brainer. Maybe it's because of where we're from (not Canada) but people here were so friendly; it's as if everyone you meet is a personal Canadian welcome committee. I can not comment on their food as I did not partake but they do have a very interesting and tasty Earl Grey beer on draft. Yep. You did indeed read that correctly. I had two and my husband enjoyed the stout. Here is why this place gets a 5 star. It is not the cute indoor / outdoor seating or the fun vibe. It is Jason. Okay this kind gentleman, the manager, is all that is wonderful about Canada. Overall great experience. With the exception of the hostess who arguably might be the least inviting person in all of Vancouver. Seems to think she's at a posh lounge in NYC and not a laid back patio in Vancouver. Scowled at us the entire time we waited. Thank God the service was better. Definitely might want to try someone with a semi-believable fake smile as the person who greets people as a first impression to your establishment.

Good patio and very helpful staff to find you a good seat even in busiest times of the week. Burger is great and flavorful and is one of my favorites in town. Recommended for big groups.

My family and I took a vacation this week to Vancouver to celebrate my birthday. We fell in love with Gastown. Each night we selected a different restaurant. I had been told that the food in Vancouver was excellent. Local did not disappoint us. When we arrived, we were told that they were no longer seating people outside. I was a bit disappointed.
