I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I love the vibe, the decor, the food, the drinks and the staff! It's in such a great location, right across from the beach. This is my favourite place to go after a long day laying in the sun on the beach. The margaritas come in a boot first of all. Fantastic! The guacamole is freaking mind blowing! The calamari comes with a white sauce and a really, really spicy red sauce. It's battered in a tempura batter and seasoned. It is cooked perfectly. Almost melts in your mouth, not chewy at all. Great place, great location, great ambient, great service and beautiful girls serving. Long waiting (25 mins) to get a table but when you are in, the food and drinks come very fast, even if the place is full of customers.

Location is prime, cannot be beat. Service is a hit or miss, and food is just ok. Would be nice if the music wasn't so loud so you didn't feel like you were in a nightclub in the middle of the day. Recommend converting the tiny seemingly useless parking lot into more patio space considering how busy the patio always is. Long waits at peak times.

The food is pretty good. The staff and service are hit and miss, but with the atmosphere and the food, it's a solid 3 stars. I've changed it because the restaurant saw my review, promptly contacted me and addressed the issue and informed me that they're actively working to improve staff. Nice to see them engaging with customers and making an effort. I would have continued to visit regardless but I'm glad they're trying to make the experience better.

The Local is a fun place to stop for a bite and a drink. The food is above average and the drinks are made with care. The Service is always friendly and the place is constantly moving. Lots of sports and people watching. Close to kits beach and kits pool - so naturally a good stomping ground after a run/walk or play at the beach. I prefer the lunch / afternoon time vibe.

Food is really good and staff are always attentive. Beware the dirty glasses. Water glasses and wine glasses consistently bad. Lipstick and other yucky stuff. Time for a new dishwasher.

I went with a large group of colleagues for lunch. The food and the service was spectacular. I had the ahi tuna sandwich. It was out of this world. All of my colleagues were equally impressed. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Even their French fries were tasty. The dipping sauce was a flavour explosion. So yes, I throughly enjoyed my experience. Oh ya, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and freshness of the food

This place used to be the best until they took the chicken taco away just recently. The taco is the only reason for the 3 stars, everything else is awesome. Bring back the taco!!!

The food here is really good pub food! I am a vegetarian and they have a great selection of options, and are willing to accommodate small changes to suit vegetarians, or any specific food needs. I recommend trying the home made veggie burger, (or any burger)! They also have brunch now and it is nothing crazy but is still pretty solid. Service is always friendly and if it's a nice day make sure you get there early for a seat on the deck!
