In the summer this place cannot be beat. The location at Kits beach is glorious on a nice day and a lovely place to while away a summer afternoon people watching. We went on a sunny Sunday and sat out on the patio. The service is casual and friendly and the menu puts a few twists on the classic pub fare. Brunch was delicious - veggie eggs Benny and sangria for the win! All with a view and decent prices! Nice outdoor seating. Bf enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich and the breakfast Marg. yum!
Went here this summer with my sister. The servers were pleasant, the food was deliious and the nice breeze from the beach on the patio was a plus.
Their churros (only dessert they have) are BOMB. It was only $5 and probably the best churros I've ever had. Their Mystery Wine is pretty cool too, for just $4 too.
Came here for dinner on a Sunday night. They have a decent variety of beer on tap. The music is quite loud, but it builds be atmosphere. The food was maybe slightly above average for bar food in Vancouver. I had fish and chips, and while the portions were quite large, I thought that the quality was lacking. The fries were quite good. I will likely be back for the atmosphere and location. It has a fantastic location right by kits beach and is always very popular. The staff are also quite friendly.
Local was closing early but we didn't know when we showed up. Even though their kitchen was closed they went way out of their way to give us some food. It was a huge bonus that the food was delicious! A+
Good service, decent prices but not so great atmosphere. Felt like I was at a waiting area for a frat party with pick up artists trying to hit on the females in the group! The ambient noise was a loud and I couldn't carry on a conversation with my friends at all. Ok for a cheap beer not much else.
My favourite thing to order from here is a fish taco and a chicken taco - $5 each. SO DELICIOUS. Can be a bit hard to get into at times - super popular place among 20-somethings, especially in Summer.
My group of 5 had flown in and been in Vancouver for less than an hour when we got a recommendation to hit up the kits LOCAL ("best patio in town!") so we assumed it must be good, and assumed correctly! There's a daily drink special (of which we all partook, #TrashyThursdays for the win) and ordered a round of delicious poutine for the table. I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which was divine.
