Derek : Gent This is one of my favourite joints in Van , the barman took the liberty of buying myself and my lady friend a shot, which kicked off our night nicely! Always a good time here they take care of regulars every time. Great spot, great location, great people!

Tried to leave a comment on their website but from an iPhone standpoint it's not easy to navigate. However had the most incredible experience tonight by a bartender named Derek. He was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Did whatever he could to ensure my mate and I enjoyed our time there. Was very friendly, very welcoming, and also a good laugh. Showed up here with my fiend on a Saturday evening around 720pm. A line up was forming at the door. Many large groups were told there was a wait however we were seated immediately. We had a nice table by the window with a view of the city. We were pleasantly surprised at this new restaurant as the last time I was there it was a previous owner and a different restaurant. I go to local kits a couple times a week . I always sit at the bar and bartenders always treat me well . I can't say enought about the staff that works there . Josh one of bartenders , makes it fun and lively . It's never a dull money when he bartends . He's one of reason I like going back .

The food was alright. I hate that the small tuna poke bowl was deconstructed and 19 dollars but the flavours were good. Service was very friendly but equally incompetent. I ordered a glass of sauvignon blanc, they didn't have any and I'm not a fan of the rest of the tiny selection of whites so I ordered a glass of pinot Noir and the waitress gave me chardonnay. Their menu is always changing and they always have a great selection to choose from! They do wings pretty well and their bao buns that they recently added to their menu is great! They also do brunch on the weekends and the huevos rancheros is my go to! Servers are super friendly as well! Also bonus that they love dogs and our pup gets water and lots of attention when she's there! The only thing is that even though they have a daily drink special, I wish they had one for food as well. I love the way the staff are so friendly and willing to help with menu. I got the Basic Bish drink and it was amazing. The food was very good as well and the portion sizes were tremendous. I think the one thing they could do better is checking to see if I needed anything. Overall very good though!
Great stop near Kits Beach. Servers were friendly and the food and drinks were great. Not too busy for a weekday lunch. Would definitely go back.

Went here for a late lunch with friends. Great sunny day so we sat on the patio no waiting since it was a tues in summer. You can see kits beach right across. Tried to order margarita boots which we saw on yelp but they have not had it for years :(. Ordered margarita of champions instead which were still pretty good.
