BBQ to die for This was THE BEST BBQ I've had in a long time. The food is wrapped in brown paper--no plates--but it was fabulous tasting!!! I brought some home to eat with my own favorite sauce, but the meat tastes so much better with Lockhart's sauce. The coleslaw tasted better the next day. The potato salad had no mustard in it, so...

A bit disappointed but food was ok The parking for this restaurant was almost non-existent. The bbq was fine but they served your meal in brown paper which is rather messy. Paper plates would work better for bbq. The baked beans were so spicy that I couldn't eat them. An employee accidentally sprayed some type of cleaner on my son as the employee was passing by the...

Best BBQ I've ever had We went for an early dinner when it wasn't busy. We talked to the meat servers for a little while to get a better idea of what to try and what they liked. Lockhart Smoke House - The Real Deal The tag line on Larkhart's website says, "No Forks! No Sauce! Needed." While the tag line may not work (grammatically speaking that is), their bar-b-que definitely does. I have eaten a lot of bar-b-que over the years, and mostly come away thinking, "So what?" Invariably the product has never quite matched my anticipation of the event. Not so with Lockhart...

Not what we expected My wife and I decided to go to Lockhart for bbq because we had tried it at their other location. Maybe it was because of the time of day (3:30p) but it was not what we expected. It is not cheap bbq so it was disappointing as not only was the meat dry but the flavor was less than average....

Smoked goodness First time ever to try it and it was great BBQ. The outside of both the brisket and beef ribs almost had a krispy-krunch to it that had the savory smokey goodness flavor locked in. Ribs easily peeled off the bone and the brisket just melted in your mouth. Both the baked beans and habanero mac-n-cheese had some good heat...

Excellent BBQ I've been here 3 times since moving to the Dallas area in December. The brisket is moist, the turkey has a fabulous flavor and the smoke sausages can not be more smokey and authentic. The habenero mac and cheese though is what tops off my experience and keeps me coming back for more and more.

Great Ribs I did not like the layout and the ordering process. It was a busy time and felt rushed as well as confused about how to order at first which made us feel uncomfortable. We ordered both types of brisket and it was not all that impressive. The ribs, however, were excellent.

Good ol' Texas BBQ A friend of mine recommended I try Lockhart while in Dallas. I wanted to try some authentic Texas BBQ so we tried it sunday afternoon and it was phenomenal! I love how they just wrap up all meat in some brown paper that you carry to your table. They offered us a free sample of the habanero mac n' cheese...
