My first BBQ experience in Dallas Went there to relax with my boss after a working day, and it was a really good experience. We tried a little bit of everything - so ended up completely full, and took a bottle of their sauce to improve our BBQs back at home
Unique atmosphere for good BBQ Lockhart is sort of low key and no frills. You go in the back and order your food from a counter. There is a full bar to order drinks. Then you try to find a seat. Adequate brisket, excellent sausage. "best in Dallas Brisket a bit overcooked. I had the moist and I could tell at a glance based on how thick the slices were. Minimal smoke ring, fell apart readily. Had to add some sauce before I was done. Beans were nice... like baked beans with chopped brisket. Sausage first rate. Remember. It's Dallas (area). They don't have good bbq here.
