The work was done well but Lyon's Roofing was not able to adequately explain of their prices to my insurance company. So I did not get paid in full for their services. Replace roof

I am so sorry about this situation. I do believe there is a misunderstanding here. Insurance companies have their own schedule of payment per repair or replacement and what we charge per scope would have very little if any influence on their payout. This is not different than what medical insurance is willing to pay per procedure, the balance being the responsibility of the patient. We received a call the day before stating that they would arrive between 10-11, even though they were originally scheduled for 7AM. When they had not arrived by noon, I called the office and got the "answering service". They stated they would send a message to someone, but I never received a call back. At 1PM, I called the person who did the estimate. He said he would call me back, but never did. At 1:30, I tried the main office number again and someone answered the phone. Terrible, will not use or recommend this company to anyone. I contacted Lyons Roofing to get an estimate for a patio roof replacement. A representative came out to look at the project and was told someone needs to come out and check the structure. No one called to came to review the work requested. A week later I called up the representative and left a message to contact me to let me know the status, the call was not returned. The other companies I contacted responded in a reasonable amount of time for me to make a decision.... read more

Seemed to go well. Roof tuneup repaired broken and cracked tiles etc.

estimator came out to give us a quote and told us he would have an estimate quickly. The quote never came and they did not return our call for information. roof repair including replacing cracked tile, installing a new drip edge and trim boards

The estimator was on time and dressed appropriately . He was very friendly. When he went on the roof to check out the damage that's all he did. He did not checkout the rest of the roof to see if anything else needed repair. He told me that it would cost a baseline of $375.00. He asked me when they could start. I replied " I was looking for an estimate". The part that I was disappointed in was he did not give me a written estimate of what his company was going to do. We contracted with Lyons Roofing to replace our roofbased largely on their superior ratings. When the project foreman came to our house prior to the work, I gave him a short written list of of our concerns. Number one was to protect our relatively new high efficiency (expensive)Air Conditioning system and associated duct work. They removed the old roof and sprayed on the new roof in one day. The spray work was good. However,In the process of moving the A/C unit and evaporative cooler (we have both) so that they could spray, ... read more

My goodness, this does paint an ugly picture. I am so sorry about any mishaps. Our standard of practice is to not remove HVAC units for exactly these reasons, we are not HVAC contractors and usually we would coordinate that work with your HVAC contractor, especially given it is a new unit. As far as foaming over the duct work junction- that does feel normal, foam is self flashing and would provide a seamless bond to the units.
