Initially, I called and got an appointment set up easily, and it sounded like they were going to be helpful. The sales guy showed up at the appointed time, talked to me about the materials they use for walk decks, and left me with some samples and an expectation that I would soon be emailed a quote. Days passed, nothing. I called him; he said that he was just about to call me to let me know that they didn't want to give me a proposal until I finished the new doors I was having installed and they could see the new thresholds.... read more

unknown Replaced many of the tiles and replaced the underlayment 40 #ASTM Felt..2 layers and new flashings. Also, re-roof the garage. Several sheets of plywood had to be replaced as well.

Business response:

Thank you for your kind words about our re-roofing process. In the interest of improvement, would you mind sharing with me the details regarding our responsiveness that prompted a less than stellar grade. (Our goal is to delight you on all categories). You can email me directly at the address below. Sincerely, Ann Pepper Director of Business Development apepper@lyonsroofing.com

I was considering having my flat roof garage re-roofed after some leakage and degradation issues were observed. I ultimately decided to patch repair myself and postpone the re-roof for another 1-3 years. I contacted about four highly rated roofers on AL, and was kind of surprised by the unresponsiveness, and impunctuality. It is clear that all of the contractors all knew their trade well and probably were as they all claimed to be, very busy. However the one exception to the poor communications and follow-up was Lyons Roofin... read more

We appreciate the feedback. When/If you are ready, we are happy to assist with your roofing project. Best always, Ann Pepper Director of Business Development apepper@lyonsroofing.com

after finally getting someone out to take a look at it he never even got on the roof he just looked at it from the ground and then quoted me a full re roofing of my house. the end job would have been around 8k but the only part of the eve that was bad was the bird stop and it cost me 2 dollars and my painting company installed it while painting my house. i gave them a few extra bucks for it. I needed a small part of the eve inspected and replaced. it ended costing me only a few dollars because my painting/roofing company to... read more

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with other Angie's list members. You bring up a point that comes up often and one worth sharing. Ruined fascia wood is a symptom, not a problem. Fixing the wood and painting it is not a solution to the actual problem. You are simply masking the results of the problem. Failing wood is often the result of improper water shedding and in the case of tile, an underlayment beyond its useful life. I can't speak to Terry not getting up onto your roof. There is no substitute for ... read more

unknown They updated the roof undercoating and treated the flat part of the roof. Weather delayed the estimated dates for start and they were with other peoples roofs so my start got delayed. Can't blame the company for that I guess.

Business response:

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, we have a love hate relationship with the rain. It does mess with our schedule. Sorry for any inconvenience. Best regards, Ann Pepper Director of Business Development apepper@lyonsroofing.com

unknown Contracted for a complete roof priming and repair of bad spots with a final 5 year top coat. Although company had work scheduled for about 8 weeks they kept in constant contact advising when our job was finally scheduled. Separate coating crews arrived as scheduled and after verifying work to be done completed the tasks and clean-up promptly.

Business response:

Thank you for your recap of the re-coating process. If there is any other way we can be of assistance... Best always, Ann Pepper Director of Business Development apepper@lyonsroofing.com

We've had issues every single time someone from Lyons comes out, including the original work. In July 2014 we had roof leaks and it was inordinately difficult and painful to get those resolved. Scheduling errors, no shows, had to escalate repeatedly to get it the warranty work addressed. January 2013 we had some roof leakage and they came out to address it. Now a year later, late July 2015 we saw bubbling/cracking and blisters on the roof. They came out on 8/5 and fixed some, but not all of them. They argued with me that it ... read more

the service was never performed because no one ever call to set up an estimate, this is my first and last exposure with Angie's list, your service is certainly not what it is advertised to be to recommend dependable compainies I called to get a vent replaced on my roof on 8/3, I was told that someone would call me within 24 to set up an appointment for a free estimate, I never received any such call, I got someone else to fix my problem, I do not intend to beg people to do work for me

Business response:

My apologies that we failed to connect regarding your request to address a blown off turbine vent. According to our records our service administrator did call back on 8/3, a gentleman answered the phone and told us we had a wrong number and then hung up. I don't know if the number was transcribed incorrectly on our end, and that can very well be the case and for that, again, my apologies. I hope you can instead credit this to a simple error and continue to use Angie's list as a valuable resource for future home improvement p... read more
