This is a Tale of Two Pick-Up Errands. My girlfriend tried to pick up hair coloring she had ordered from Madison Reed. There was nobody standing outside the store and no way of letting anyone know we were there for a pickup. Instead, there was a small-ish sign on the door saying something along the lines of "Abandon all hope, or Knock and please wait for us to deign to acknowledge your presence". Hair color Balayage was a disaster and the stylist knew it and made me pay $30 for toner to correct her $150 mistake. I scheduled the appointment a week prior and when I arrived they had forgot to write it on the new system or so they said.

I had my hair colored there and it was the first and last time I will go there. My stylist was Very slopy and left hair dye al over my skin. The wash was so uncomfortable and the sink kept moving up and down. I returned another time just to buy the hair color to do at home. Terrible customer service. The front desk woman was leaning on the front counter talking on her cell phone. I waited for a bit then walked up to her, assuming she didn't see I needed help. Went for a simple root touch-up...1 hour and 40 minutes later emerged with the top of my head 6 shades different than the rest of my hair. It looked horrible, really quite stupid. The only solution offered me? Spending more money on a gloss to the dye the rest of my hair (whose color I quite liked) the same horrible color the colorist made my roots. Hard pass.
