I've been using Madison Reed for at-home coloring for years so I was excited when a color bar opened near me. The stylist put so much dye on my hairline that the girl who washed and shampooed my hair was not able to get it off, even after several tries. She told me to try to remove it myself when she led me to the station where I could blow dry my hair. Well... I made an appointment through their app for today (Sunday) for Hair Color and Highlights with an estimated total of $255 and a 2.5 hour appointment. I was excited and went to check out some pictures from customers to get some inspiration. Just to find out that it says they are closed on Sundays! Ok... So I called to see if they are really closed. The biggest regret I've had in a very long time is going to this location, for a couple reasons. I haven't had my hair done in so long because of covid and fear of getting infected since I am immunocompromised (I have autoimmune conditions and cancer) so I've been very careful throughout the pandemic. I don't know if all the locations are now not requiring masks, but when I walked into this location the 1st thing I noticed is that none of the employees were wearing masks! If I could give zero stars I would. I have never been more disappointed with a salon than today. Madison Reed's staff is all over the place and they don't give a true salon experience. I had four different people taking turns in some part of the process of coloring my hair and three of them didn't even introduce themselves to me. I left super unhappy and not one stylist asked to make it right or fix the issue.
