This is locates on the east side of UTC where Pacific Catch is. I made my appointment online and it was pretty easy. I arrived 10 minutes early. They asked me to sit on one of the chairs and gave me a robe while the colorist is finishing up a customer. They took a picture of my hair and suggested a color that I agreed with. Wow! Always a relaxing visit to this Madison Reed store in La Jolla. In early June I applied the demi-permanent Slay Latte from the Madison Reed coloring line, a beautifully dark, rich color. Here it is October, and I've just finished at the salon changing my color out for a Sicily Blonde. The all over application left zero remnants from the previous Slay Latte. Had an ok experience but after many years of contemplating I decided to get highlights and showed the colorist what I wanted and pictures of what I did not want. She reassured me that she knew what I did not want and that helped. She put the foils in and left as her shift was over!! I didn't realize this until her assistant washed and toned my hair and I noticed the brassy red highlights (which I did not want). She told me she would text the colorist and let her know. I went in for a root touch up and service was GREAT!!! Rose who is also a colorist, rinsed my hair and gave me the BEST massage. Even though staff was busy, they were very pleasant and made me feel as if I was the only one in the room. Rose, I am definitely coming back for another massage. Without me asking, this location refunded me the cost of the blowout. I really appreciate the follow up to ensure the customer is satisfied, doesn't seem like many companies care anymore and this was a pleasant surprise! A big thank you to this MR location, I'll definitely be back!
