Love my colorist and overall color. The salon is super efficient and organized and everyone is really friendly and kind. Everything is super clean and sanitized and alot of care in this area which is much appreciated given COVID. There's much room for improvement when it comes to the final stages which is the wash and DIY blowout. During the wash, the water was cold, bowl was uncomfortable, my face was sprinkled, and back shirt and back were soaked. I'm a redhead so I'm always worried about getting my hair colored & it turning out too orange or red. At my appt, I met with Chavonne, she assessed my hair color & what I wanted & was able to give me the exact color I was looking for. I was thrilled & love the color!! Highly recommend Chavonne & Madison Reed color.

I was the superintendent on this store! Did all of the framing myself but didn't get to stick around because of the Chicago inspections taking so long! Hope you guys like the store! Will pop in when I make it down there from Ohio!

The lady that did my color was great, she seemed knowledgeable and was friendly. Overall did a good job and I was really happy with her work, even considering a membership. Now off to washing and blow drying, not so much, she was a different lady and was rude and made me feel uncomfortable. Making remarks about my hair, the position of my head for the blow dry. I moved to Chicago mid-June and last had my VERY gray roots and highlights done the first week of June. By the time I went to the Lincoln Park location at the end of July it was 7-8 weeks of gray growth. I was a bit skeptical to have my roots done even though a friend has been using Madison Reed at home for a few years. Well, I loved the location, the women who did my hair and the results. The salon was clean and bright and the stylists were friendly, but the results were sub-par. The root touch up did not cover my grey. Partly this was because of the formulation -- according to the stylist, the color isn't formulated to cover resistant grey. Which begs the question-- why say you're a root touch up service if your formula doesn't cover grey? She suggested I go a step or two darker but that doesn't make sense. I don't want dark brown hair. This was my first time ever getting my hair dyed and Becca did a great job at the Lincoln Park location. My hair looks exactly the same and maybe even better.
