All staff was wearing masks! a stylist helped me pick out of a color that worked for me! getting your hair washed kind of cranks your neck and is weirdly uncomfortable but I think that might've been a me thing. Love their complimentary blow dry station with product, as well!

Madison Reed- I was initially skeptical because I hear their advertising everywhere, to the point that I dismiss or discredit it. However, being here, in person, the hype is real! I have overgrown high lights and a few greys starting to peek through. I had a root service (light brown to match my roots) and a gloss (blonde) over my length to reinvigorate my highlights without negatively impacting the blonde. I gave Madison Reed Hair Color Bar a try after hearing the radio commercials for quite a while. I'm really glad I did! First of all the Lincoln Park location is great. Complimentary parking is appreciated but it is also located very close to public transportation. I went for a yelp event and enjoyed the experience. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional. The location is clean. Ideal for someone who needs a color touch-up every few weeks. I got a blowout and it looked like I had just gotten my hair cut. They did a really nice job.

A very pleasant experience. I was originally confused by the concept. Like a blow dry bar, this salon only does hair color and really just roots or all over color. And don't expect an ability to do a drastic change. Maybe just a few tones lighter or darker. Good price for the service. Agree with previous reviews about the hair washing stations. I almost couldn't take the awkward position by the end. As long as you're aware of what you'll be getting, you'll have a good experience!

I haven't colored my hair in several years, so I was excited to try out Madison Reed for a fresh color. I wasn't sure what to book/what would be best for my hair, so I very much appreciated the walk through of my options and what would be best for my hair. I made my appointment for Wednesday, April 7th and was amazed at the job they had done! I've never gotten an all over color before and was excited for this. I like how the color bar focuses on more natural colors (although I do like fun colors too). Ambiance: Upon walking in, I was greeted by one of the colorists and told to sit in the waiting area. Think hair color express. Get your hair dyed on the quick and be in and out!! It was very covid friendly and I felt safe. The menu is really limited. There are no cuts involved and strictly color based. You can even purchase the dyes and do it at home yourself. I came in for a gloss and blow out. I don't have any grays but it gave my hair a nice shine. I love that it was spaced out and there was not too many people in there. My stylist was really sweet and conversational. I would definitely go back!
