I initially liked Madison Reed, but the liking has been diminishing fast! They charge extra for additions you didn't ask for or didn't even know you got, no one answers the main customer service number anymore, and you can't send a message via the app.

Fourth visit here, my first visit was the best of all maybe because I wasn't a member yet. The stylist just treat you like a number or a tip. I arrived to my appointment on Sunday and I noticed there were four clients in chairs and three stylist working on them. I walked in and no one greeted me, I waited 10 min at the register to get checked in. I decided I would give it a try. I set my appointment for 2pm on a Tuesday. I get there 10 minutes early and was told the stylist who would be helping me was on lunch and should be back soon. I was given a seat to wait. There was only 1 person working the entire salon at this point and she went in the back with her client to wash. I must say I love the concept but the customer service doesn't exist. They have no one to greet you or pick up the phone. They are staffed based on appointments from a general call center. I always get forgotten and have to say I need to rinse off. Then I have to wait for a free stylist to check me out. You want rave reviews then up your game!!!

I agree with one of the other reviews. It seems they are under staffed. Appointments take nearly double the expected time which is very frustrating. You will wait long beyond your timer runs out to have your wash out.

Do yourself a favor and do not go here. This is the 3rd Madison Reed location I have been to and the only location where the stylist who was supposed to help me was rude and just did not care about my hair. I left feeling treated like half a human. It's a better choice to go to any other Madison Reed location, or in Newport go next door to Christophe and be pampered and treated like the beautiful person that exists inside of all of us. I hope this review helps to prevent someone from going through what I did.

Number one they advertise they are a fraction of the cost of a standard salon. They are exactly the same price with a Super Cuts experience. Who pays more for a blow dry with a touch up color of a hundred bucks!!! They have very misleading ads.

Extremely unprofessional! They are confused about the appointment process and do not care about the client! Staff is not confident in what they do, or what they offer and really don't seem to have integrity about the company. Won't ever go back.
