My husband was admitted to Merlewood initially for respite nursing after hospital. His condition rapidly deteriorated and he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. He died on 23 Feb 2016. The nursing and care staff looked after him with professionalism, kindly care, cheerfulness and humour. They were also kind and welcoming to me, his friends and family when visiting.
