    Most frustrating thing I own Constantly says there is a paper jam when there is not one. Constantly prints photos faded out no matter if I cleaned print heads or ran through all the other maintenance options. This printer is the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned. I will not be throwing it away, I will be going Office Space on it and smashing it with a hammer.

    My Second MFC-J895DW 1 year 6 months after purchase printer prints so poorly I need a new printer. I had one of these for 15 years before a print head went bad and I purchased this unit. I should have know better and sent it back as soon as I took it out of the box. My original unit was built like a brick house compared to this new unit that was built like a cardboard house.

    Poor Print Quality The print quality was fine at first, but after having it for just about a year, the quality worsened to the point where it isn't even usable. The print quality fix built into the printer uses ink to run, and after running it about 15 times, the quality only got worse while also using up expensive ink. Customer service showed me to an FAQ page that just told me to run the quality fix system again, and the online support page wasn't even working.     Disgusted with this printer The ink cartridges will be more than half full, and this machine tells me they are empty and refuses to print anything until I replace the cartridges. It has been a monumental waste of money, I've lost count of how many cartridges I've had to toss out. They want to bleed money out of you on the ink cartridges -- don't fall for it.

    Not For Mac OS. Various Functions Available Windows Only. Not In Listing Or User Manual. Returning. After trying for a long period of time to set up remote printer settings for various print jobs called Brother support. Agent told me not all functions on printer would work using Mac OS and that I should buy Adobe software and maybe that would work. Are you kidding me.

    Ink runs out fast I never print in color, but the color cartridges run out and the printer won't allow black printing, with out replacing the empty color cartridges.

    Absolutely would not buy again. Constantly falls off the wireless, runs out of ink frequently even though I don't print that much, won't print at all if there's some glitch or other. Get a more reliable printer for less $.

    stopped recognizing ink cartridges - won't print - AVOID this printer I'll never buy another Brother printer after this experience. My husband purchased this for me on Amazon. It worked well for about 2 years and then just stopped recognizing ink cartridges. I have replaced the magenta multiple times and it won't print. It won't even print in black and white (grayscale). It's a piece of garbage now. It was fine when it worked, but not worth this hassle. Fingers crossed for the next.

    If you run out of colored ink, you can't print ANYTHING I bought this to use during COVID work at home days. It was fine for a while. I have barely used it, I have never printed color, and yet it says my yellow ink is empty. There is no way to just use black ink. I have to order another yellow cartridge before I can print anything. The Brother website troubleshooting is ridiculous and useless. I am so disappointed. SAVE YOUR MONEY
