Poor scanning Connects effortlessly to wifi for printing. The scanner quality is poor
Ink cartridges dry up in a month. Spend all your money ink that you never get to use. I use my print about once a month. Every time i try to use it, at least one of the ink cartridge says it is low. When I check it, the cartridge is full. There is nothing I can do to get the print to recognize it is a full cartridge and I have to throw it away and replace it with a new one. This printer needs to be thrown in the trash.
JUNK! This printer works well, except when it tells you it’s out of ink, which happens ALL THE TIME and the only solution is to buy more ink. An ink cartridge lasts less than half of the time it states and the printer will literally not print no matter what even though you can clearly see there is ink in the cartridge. This thing is garbage and I can’t wait to smash it with a baseball bat.

Constantly dealing with the print quality I have been so frustrated with this printer because I was constantly having to clean the printer heads and reprint wasting A LOT of ink. I do not like writing reviews, especially bad reviews but I want to throw this printer in the trash. I have spent so much money on ink and time on cleaning the nozzle heads, and reprinting. I bought it because it had good reviews (maybe the first few months were good), but after that it has been downhill. I would not recommend.
Worst printer ever Uses ink at an unheard of rate. will not print in black if colored cartridges are low. I print mostly black but the colored cartridge's lose ink quickly even though they are not being used and I find no leaks. I have tried two sets of after market cartridges and they will not work with the brother printer. It is costing about $67 every two months and I do not print that much.
Oh Brother! Failed at just occasionally printing mostly greyscale after 3 years. I’ve replaced the color and black cartridges several times but I always seem to be out of something. I buy Amazon replacement cartridges that worked for first year or so but after a couple automatic firmware updates Brother has disabled the ability to buy cheap cartridges. I’m buying a Printer locally now and will just return it every year for a new one.
Nothing but problems Would not recommend. Don’t try to print pictures - the quality is beyond horrible. Don’t try to save money with compatible cartridges, you’ll just be playing the “cannot detect” game. When the ink does take the cartridges are “too low to print” so quickly, even with plenty of ink visibly left in the cartridge. We scan quite a bit and this gets a blue line down the center of the scans frequently. Maybe I’m just having a bad experience but my advice would be to look elsewhere for a printer.
scanner stopped working in 5 months I have been on phone and chat with tech support for over two hours with little to no help. They just told me to unplug machine and turn it off. I tried resetting printer, turning it off, unplugging it, etc nothing has worked.
