Piece of Junk, Dies Too Soon After this printer sat idly for a time it stopped working. We got new ink that we can’t return and re-set-up / reinstalled everything but while it finally connected the printed documents are faint and scratchy. I’m owed time and money that will never be seen.
Trash. Horrible Printer. You get what you pay for. Awful. Constant "low toner" and other cartridge-related errors. Printer is cheap but prepare for it to tear through ink at an impossibly fast rate, then you're buying $40 worth of cartridges all the time. And now I'm getting errors for the printer not being able to tell how much ink is left. This would be fine but it does not allow me to override the message and print! Horrible product.
Best to avoid Worst printer I’ve ever owned. Can deliver pretty good b&w and OK color, but constant paper jams and maintenance requirements make it a time-waster. Uses a lot of ink, but I guess they all do. Still, for reliability and print quality, I’ll stick with Canon in the future.
Be prepared to throw your money away on ink cartridges! This printer eats color ink cartridges WHETHER YOU USE THEM OR NOT! I just hung up with customer service. I explained to them that I have not printed in color for months, and yet I can see that the color cartridge levels keep going down. THAT'S BAD ENOUGH, but I have an almost full cartridge of Black Ink, and when I go to print in Black and White, the machine says that I don't have enough color ink and that I have to have those levels high EVEN TO PRINT IN BLACK AND WHI... read more
Worst printer i’ve owned Since I purchased this printer it has never worked flawlessly. I buy only the high yield Brother brand 3013 ink cartridges. The printer never prints anything without a blurred line, missing text/ image. With brand new cartridges in there the machine keeps asking me to clean the nozzles, when I do the printing is worse. Save yourself the aggravation and don’t buy this printer.
If I'm out of yellow ink, why can't I print black and white? You would think there would be a way to print black and white even if the algorithm in your printer decides you are too low on yellow ink, but apparently not. I'm so thankful I don't have to print documents that often, but whenever I do, my Brother printer never finds a way to cease to surprise and amaze me with its complete lack of thought given to the end user. worst printer I have ever owned. Complicated, slow, error codes all the time, a total disaster.
Won’t print without all ink I’ve only printed black and white with this printer. Why then does it keep running out of colored ink? To top it off, it won’t print black and white pages when the colored ink is empty. This printer is a scam.
Never again Brother printer used to always be good and they still are but they go through ink like crazy!! I barely ever print anything, maybe 1 paper and the inks are always empty. For example, the yellow one was at about 25% left (used maybe once btw) and it printed 3 sample lines and then it was empty and it wasnt even in color!! And once one of the colors is empty, you cannot use the printer for anything until you buy more ink. Its extremely frustrating having to keep buying and buying more and more ink!
