    Unreliable, poor quality, money better spent elsewhere This has been one of the worst printers that I have ever owned. The ink runs out very quickly, the print quality of images is sub-par, ink was more expensive than other name brands, the page sizes that you can use are limited, the scanning software isn't user friendly and sporadic - simple things like double sided scanning are hard to set and maintain. Print nozzles clogged after two pictures printed.

    keep stating to install the ink 1 star because this printer never worked for me, ink installation sign keeps popping up and I can't move forward to next step. I have done that step a million time, even bought new ink but it didn't work.

    No Wish I had never bought this printer. The cartridges - and you have to have the black one, plus each color is in separate cartridges that are very hard to install. Have had less than two years and now it won't print at all. Will Never buy a Brother product again.

    Don't bother with this ink eater. Thank goodness I had already purchased additional ink for this printer because I needed it during the first 20 pages of printing. I have purchased and installed 2 full sets of ink cartridges since I purchased this. I haven't printed 100 pages. This is the worst printer I have ever owned. What a waste of money. DO NOT BUY.

    Prints 50/50 This is the worst, most frustrating printer I have ever owned. It was easy to set up, but only prints about 50% of the time. You never know if it'll print easily and quickly or if it'll get stuck in "receiving data" mode and take forever or not print at all. Every other device in my home works flawlessly on my network, but not this one. I will never buy a Brother product again.

    It's been over two weeks and I haven't heard anything. I spent over a hour with tech support trying to get the printer to work. after about a hour they told me that I had a bad printer and that would send me a new one. They did send me a printer But it was a refurbished printer. When I ask if I would get any money back because it was used. they said they would get back to me soon. It's been over two weeks and I haven't heard anything.

    Does Not Maintain Connectivity This printer loses connectivity with my home network on a continual basis. The first time I had to spend an hour and a half on the phone with Brother tech support which yielded a big Zero in terms of a solution. The printer just fixed itself one day. It connected to my network and started printing. It did the same thing again, and now it has failed again similarly for the third time.     One of the worst purchases I've ever made Literally *every* time I print something, I have to troubleshoot the printer. Sometimes it tells me there's a paper jam (there isn't, I just have to open all the covers and close them again) Sometimes it tells me there's no paper (there is) Sometimes it just throws an error, and I'm supposed to guess what the error is And the best one: Told me the ink was empty, I put in a brand new cartridge, and two days later, it was empty again!     I SHOULD HAVE HEEDED THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS... I should have heeded the reviews that said there were some pretty serious flaws with this printer. It keeps telling my husband and I that there is a door open and we have checked everything. Our neighbor, who has worked in IT for years, also came over to check. THERE IS NO DOOR OPEN!! We were experiencing paper jams more and more frequently before we got to this point. PLEASE do not waste your money purchasing this printer.
