Both are excellent and I recommend them I reserve this printer for copying, scanning and the occasional color printing.I use a black and white Brother printer for every day printing as the "all-in-one"uses colors even to print black and white. Both are excellent and I recommend them.

Solid and reliable All-In-One. I love the style and printing of this All-In-One. I dumped a malfunctioning HP printer for this one. I'm glad that I did. The Hardware and software are much better than HP. Great Product!!
The low cost ink and their said high yeild or color output made it a good choice. I initially purchased and HP Envy 4500 to print DVD covers using hp's photo paper & CD/DVD Glossy ink jet labels 8944. The photo print quality was great. But after 2 years I realized that the cost of the HP ink @ $40 -$45 a cartridge for only 20 prints or so was a huge monetary loss. So, i started looking for an inkjet printer w/cheaper ink cartridges. I initially wanted the epson ecotanks, but at $300+ i could not afford it. So i settled for t... read more
Solid printer with seemingly endless ink reserves Prints documents well, I haven't tried to print any pictures. Print speed is good. The onboard software and the mobile app are both great. The only problem is I cant get the thing to run out of ink. I've had the printer for 6 months and have yet to change the ink cartridge where my old HP would have had the ink changed multiple times by now.
Works great, easy on ink, a little pricey, but worth it This is a good, basic printer. A while back, we purchased a fancy photo printer from a different company, and that thing never did work right. So I was ready to get rid of it and its expensive ink cartridges, and all I wanted was something to print text and things like web pages, forms, etc. After some fairly extensive research, I got this one. It's a little pricier than I'd hoped to pay, but it prints (so far) like a workhorse in the two months I've had it. I either us... read more
Very efficient I've had this for several months now. The set up instructions for FIOS were a litttle bit confusing, but it is working fine. I love not having to replace the ink all the time like I did with my prior printers. The only drawback, which I was aware of when I bought this, is the small size of the paper feeder tray.
Greater printer, but a little slower than expected. First, I wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars. I've had this printer for about a month now after my last all-in-one Epson quit on me after 6 or 7 years -- not bad. The Epson printer itself was good, but I hated the cost of ink and it always felt like it ran out when I was in a hurry. I did the research and decided to spend a little more money now and save on ink costs in the future with this Brother printer. It was easy to set up and I did so without installing any of their sof... read more
Better than HP I hate that it took me so long to leave HP printers behind. This one does everything I need, and I won't feel fleeced when I have to buy new ink. Quiet mode is nice if you aren't doing high volume printing, and the interface on the printer is pretty snappy as well.
