1 sided scanning only My disappointment was the impression that is would have dual sided scanning as well. They should make the very very clear since it was print dual sided you would assume the scanning capabilities would be there too. That is very important so now I am returning this thing and buying a new one that can do dual sided scanning which is very basic in most printers today.
Bought for home after using at work I'm frugal and hate to overspend. I've driven my family crazy over the years as we finish the inkjet on a printer far faster than it should have been gone based on the ink's promised yield, and I'd refuse to immediately go buy more. Little hassle If you need a little color in your life without the hassle of fooling with inkjet cartidges, then this is your printer. Photographs are ok especially with photo paper but this really excels in printing documents. I've not had one paper jam and have gone through thousands of prints. The touch screen controls are very intuitive. Wifi works extremely well. I did load the software suites from Brother on a Mac and PC. It's big, but worth it Replaced an inkjet that finally died. Product shipped fast and setup was a breeze. It prints quickly and well. Expect the Total Cost of printing per page to drop vs using the old inkjet. It appears that it comes with full (regular not high capacity) toner cartridges. I'll update this if we have to replace them soon. Beware that it only has 2.5GHz wireless, not 5GHz, but being a printer it doesn't need faster speed - your wifi needs to support the lower band, though.
Works great for our small childcare center Love the features it has, only down fall is that it doesn't scan 2 sided documents through the auto feeder on top. You have to do each page seperately.
What's not to like? I have owned this printer for a couple of months. It has all the features I need. It works so well that I purchased 2 more for my clients.
Great print quality- network connections keep disconnecting on two printers on different networks THESE UNIT CONTINUE TO LOOSE NETWORK CONNECTION AND IT IS A HUGE PAIN- WE ORDERED TWO, ONE FOR HOME AND ONE FOR OFFICE AND ALL THE COMPUTERS HAVE THIS ISSUE. HAVE TO KEEP REBOOTING THE PRINTER TO CONNECT TO NETWORK TO PRINT. BOTH HAVE THIS ISSUE. THIS IS A PRINTER ISSUE SINCE BOTH PRINTERS DO THIS AND TWO SEPARATE LOCATIONS AND DIFFERENT NETWORKS. BROTHER NEEDS TO COME UP WITH A FIX FOR THIS.
