We tried to use the Money Store to refince our 5 yr ARM with a 30 yr fixed. Our credit scores are excellent and we were quickly approved. We were told to get the appraisal scheduled and all documentation in ASAP. Then it goes quite for two weeks. Then I get a call. Our property is farm assessed for tax purposes which means we must have a minimum of $500 of farm income per year. This appears on our tax returns and The Money Store cannot lend to a farm.
