Not once would anyone return my phone call in a timely matter, let alone AT ALL. The refinancing took over 3 months for no apparent reason. I only choose The M Store as they were the lowest refinance at the time.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STAY AWAY!!!!! These guys are a bunch of CLOWNS! I had the worst experience with this company. Out of 7 refinance and purchase transactions, these guys were by far the slowest, and most frustrating to deal with. THE ONLY THING POSITIVE about my experience with The Money Store was that they delivered the rate that they initially quoted me. EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THEM WAS A DISASTER! Initially responded and asked a bunch of questions but after I responded I never heard back, except for a random marketing email a few weeks later.
The Lender's response to my rating is NOT true and does not adhere to the facts. Here are the facts:In January of 2011 I bought a home in Santa Clara County of California. The home was financed by Bank Of America using a 1st mortgage of $729,000 and a 2nd mortgage of $60,000. We split the mortgage into a 1st and 2nd, because we wanted to finance the bulk of the mortgage using a non-conforming mortgage (lower interest rate). Received initial call from Money Store requesting some preliminary information and was told a Loan Consultant would contact me shortly. I never recevieved a follow-up call.
Bait and Switch. After the loan was all verbally agreed to I received a call from the lender stating that I wasn't borrowing enough money and they would have to tack on an additional $2000 in lender fees.What?????
Did not return call as promised and received better offer from another lender.
The lender was very efficient in the Mortgage process. All the doccumnents were electronic and I was able to do everything quickly.What I was not satisfied with is that after doing all of the process I was told they couldn't do the loan because:a) The property was less than 15 miles from my home. (It was for purchase of a second home).b) And, I was buying the interest of my other two partners in the process. This review is for The Money Store (TMS). Our initial contact was with Charles whom we had a very good experience. He was prompt in responding and returning our inquiries. Unfortunately, the rest of the loan process was botched by the remainder of the team. Our experience with TMS was the worst among multiple refinances that we have done over many years. Unfortunately subordination take longer then most borrowers think. We have no control on how long it take to get the subordination back. You have some of you fact mistaken.We did everything we could but and we also did not charge you extra fee. We don't no like to see people but up false negative reviews.
