Was in Tempe for a week on business. Purchased a membership so I could still work out while away from home. Beautiful facility. Not crowded at all. Took several classes, including a HIIT class taught by Charlotte. Great class that really pushed me. Super friendly people at this gym. The only reason why not 5 starts is the locker room. The facilities are great, but the room is really tight, meaning you almost have to step over/around people. Lockers are also shallow, making it harder to get all your stuff in there. I love Mountainside Fitness and this is my favorite location! Mountainside is a local, family-oriented AZ business. They pride themselves on being family-based and they offer top-notch childcare services. This was my biggest draw to the company. Many of the other gyms I checked out have pretty crappy childcare. Mountainside also has video cameras so you can check in on your child on the TV screens while you are working out. This gave me a lot of peace of mind. Love this location. It's super close to campus, free parking in the garage (for up to 2 hours I believe), everything is always clean and the machines are never broken (at least not that I've seen). Friendly employees and a good selection of machines. The only complaints I have is that they close at 11pm Monday-Thursday and at 9pm Friday-Sunday. I do wish they would extend the close times at least by 1 hour on the weekend, however these are the times at ALL mountainside locations, not just this one. Also, I do wish the cardio... read more

I enjoy this location, being close to work, and having the ability to check out bikes to take around Tempe Town Lake. Unfortunately, sometimes the bikes don't have the tires fully inflated. That is not always the case, but it was my last experience. There's a good variety of classes, the only thing that's missing for me is more squat racks. During peak times it's impossible to get a spot. I also wish there were more locations close to downtown Phoenix or Arcadia area. Right now the closest one is Tempe.

I'm finally posting this message here because I've attempted to voice my issues in both and email to Joyce at corporate, left voicemail for corporate, and submitted form through website and cannot even get a courtesy response from anyone involved with the company. I have been a member since the first day the Marina Heights location opened and have utilized the executive/laundry services. This is my favorite Mountainside out of all of them. All the equipment works properly and the gym is very clean. The staff is so caring and attentive, especially Hannah!!!!

Hannah the front desk girl was super awesome tonight when I was having billing troubles and explained the annual fee! Zach made an awesome shake and both greeted me when I walked in and said goodbye using my name! The staff truly makes this place an awesome gym.

Such a beautiful facility! Also the front desk girls working tonight made great smoothies and called me by name. Also when I had concerns about billing issues they let me know what was going on right away. Great staff and towel service.
