The sales team will lie to your face just to get you to join. Watch out for promises of what's to come in this gym. I am very dissatisfied here and wish there were more gyms in the area to compete with these bozo's. I will not be renewing membership Read the non recommended reviews. They are just as viable as the recommended ones. I've experienced the same things that other members have complained about.

I've been a member at Mountainside since December, I've been very happy with the gym - here's why: 1 - Childcare - I have an 8 month old son, and for $15 a month, I can drop him off and work out. The childcare has 4 rooms, including a nook just for infants, plenty of staff, a very professional check-in/check-out system, and they'll change diapers and feed your baby if the bottle is prepared. Find another gym! DO NOT JOIN THIS ONE!!! Join a X-fit or Kickboxing gym, or buy your own home-use equipment. Sales rep offered me 2 extra, free (un-honored) training sessions to sign up for their "pay and go" program. If you have to move before your sessions are expired or you simply do not have time to use them, Mountainside will then charge you to "buyout" the remaining sessions. This is easily the most disappointing Yelp review I have ever had to write. Myself, wife, and 2 kids have been members here at MSF for two years. We have referred at least a dozen other friends and couples here who have signed up and are now regulars. One of the greatest appeals that MSF had was that it didn't have the generic commercial feel of LA Fitness or 24 Hour Fitness. I would give 0 stars if I could. I literally signed up just for the basketball court and not have to deal with the waits at LA fitness. For some crazy reason they decided to take their basketball court out for a "crossfit" section. Didn't even bother to ask the members their opinion for the location.

I heard that they are closing the basketball full court, wish it was not true. We are disappointed as this is one of the gyms that has full court and consistent games during the week and the only reason some families sign up. If you are planning on signing up for the full court think twice as they will be renovating soon and is going away.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! NEVER RECOMMENDING TO ANYONE! BEWARE THAT THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE YOU AND NEVER LET YOU OUT OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP! Mountainside Fitness Peoria has the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen. I have been trying to cancel my membership for over a year and have received nothing but the run around. This is my favorite mountainside fitness because it is the only one close that has a full court for basketball. Great games every weekend and Monday Wednesday and Friday morning.

Fastest way to ruin your credit! Their collections team has a policy of immediately reporting delinquencies to collections EVEN BEFORE they bother to notify you of the deficiency. Technically legal, but shady....and is a gym really worth ruining your credit over? No other gym acts this way. Sign up at your own risk!
