For the price, the air conditioning should be 5 degrees cooler at least in the summer months. We should not be roasting 5 minutes into a run. Coming from 110 degrees outside, it should feel cold when you enter a business this time of year. Far from it here. Plus the locker room and bathroom are unbearably hot because of this. You'll get sick just going in to take a whiz if you do it post workout. Who needs a sauna, the whole place is one.
Watch out!!! Last time I joined - I found out the hard way that they will just charge you an equipment maintenance charge (above and beyond the $40 per person per month) out of the blue. I have not been a member for awhile, but certainly will not go back.
I have been going to this location for 8 years this fall, no complaints . Awesome place to workout and even hangout!
Beyond frustrated and will NEVER come back. Had what I thought was a month to month. Had not been using it and card expired. Figured it would close once the card expired. According to Joe - they let it keep billing and racking up charges and then turn you over to collections. You can't cancel over the phone or by email (yet when you go in person they don't give you any documentation - you have to wait and get it by email) and had to pay $140 to cancel. Lesson learned - no consideration at all on the charges or working thru t... read more
The lies about 5 days guess pass. To requires aZ ID is ridiculous. As long as a person has a valid ID they should allow the 5 days pass, this place has customer service issue. Put in the website rude regarding this.
I could not be happier with this gym! I think the price is incredibly fair for the amenities and how nice the facility is. As a stay at home mom (I have a 1.5 year old) I am especially impressed with the childcare. The ladies are so patient and kind. My daughter was scared at first, now reaches for the staff when we get in there. The best part is that they have cameras and you can watch your kiddos while you work out. Every time I'm there they are always cleaning and disinfecting all the toys. I love this place and I'm thank... read more
I enjoyed going here for the few months I lived in Peoria. But after claiming you could quit any time, they made quitting impossible and were super shady about it. I filled out a form to cancel before I moved away. But I kept getting charges. For months. And threats about "collections". Jeez, you can see I haven't used the gym since I quit two months ago, what the hell? Danielle S, the manager, kept claiming since I didn't make a copy of my cancellation form it never happened. Strange, that was never an option when I filled... read more
These people have no idea about common sense and logic. We had a group of 5 who wanted to try out mountainside fitness. We all have Arizona iD, except for one of us. We all live and work in AZ, including the one who didn't have an Arizona drivers license, and we offered proof that she worked and lived in Arizona. But they refused to let her try a 5day pass because she did not have an official Arizona drivers license. This makes no sense. She could prove that she works and lives in AZ, but they refused to let her join us. We ... read more
I have been a loyal member at Mountainside Fitness for approximately 5-6 years now. I have never had any major issues here other than overcrowded workout equipment, unkempt Locker rooms, broken equipment, and the minor annoyance with add-on fees. However, their new guest policy really draws the line. My family pays a very hefty fee in order for all of us to maintain membership here (I won't name exact prices, but it is over $100), part of that membership was the inclusion of guest passes and free guests on Sundays. With this... read more
