Perhaps the gyms where I moved from are just really crappy and outdated, but I think this place is excellent! I don't even think I took a tour before signing up for a membership. I don't know what these other members are expecting from a gym that offers child care, free fitness classes, free unlimited towels, a sauna and a steam room in both the men's and women's locker rooms, and an large assortment of equipment. I actually brought my boyfriend from out of state to the gym just so he could see how nice it was compared to wh... read more

I want to give this place five stars. I really do. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE their child care and legitimately wouldn't be able to go to the gym without it. I took my kids to LA and always worried about them because they didn't have a good place for babies and the staff didn't really know what they were doing... Not here. Their childcare is fantastic, AND can watch your kiddos from any monitor in the gym! The staff here are also so nice! There is no attitude, they are always welcoming and polite. I love them. They have beautiful bat... read more

Business response:

Hi Sara, Over this past weekend, we removed all of the equipment on the floor and re-organized it. We hope that the new layout will make it easier for our members. Please let us know what you think!

Gym is legit lots of weights that are legit to suit your need. Hell the dumbbells go up to 150 which is a plus friendly staff clean facility. You can also go climb a wall in here in a little area

Not a fan of this location. The equipment is very crammed as this is a smaller location and it is also quite old. The elliptical I was on was made by Precor and looked like something straight out of the 70s. I hope they refresh this gym with new equipment or move to a larger location.

Positives: - Dedicated regulars who motivate you to keep coming and work harder simply by example. - CLEAN. Although, some of the floor mats are peeling and should be replaced, all of the equipment, floors and surrounding areas are always clean and odor free. If you do hop on a bench or piece of equipment some clueless or selfish gym bro just hopped off of, there are several wipee/disinfectant stations throughout the gym available. - Adequate locker rooms, usually clean (although always smelly - courtesy flush ladies, please... read more

If you need a great workout I will definitely recommend the new HIIT classes with Terri and Shari. Tuesdays Tabata with Jeanette is my favorite class too.

Ever since I heard how Jake Gyllenhaal got ripped, I've been visiting Mountainside for more than just a fantastic high pressured shower... which I do stop by at least once a day for. Can you imagine how much $$$ I'm saving by not having to buy Axe body wash... or launder my own towels? Anyway, word on the street is, that Jake spent hours in the gym, racking up 2000 sit-ups on any given day, prepping for his part in Southpaw. I understand no one is waving $20mil in my face for a leading role, but I'd like to have a toner core... read more

This place is fantastic for families. The child care will watch young children (which is hard to find). They also have drop in child care if you need to run errands off site for a very reasonable price. Dinner nights and parent nights are also scheduled regularly and affordable. The gym amenities are also great. All of the equipment is in good shape. Plus, the classes are nice. I highly recommend this gym.

I frequent the Scottsdale Pavilion location usually, but occasionally visit this location because my girlfriend lives in Chandler. I give it a 3 star based off the equipment. The dumbbells are always loose and spinning and The machines are outdated. The multi station body masters in the middle of the gym is a terrible manufacturer and the weights seem to stick a bit. I have been to the Scottsdale location on 116th along with Gilbert too. All the gyms have much nicer equipment than the Chandler location. Everyone is always ni... read more
