Joined here a few months ago and thought it was going to be a lot better. This is a small gym, most of the staff are nice and nice equipment, but I wish the machines were spread out just a little more and there were more free weights and benches. The whole workout area is too packed together. The free weight area is so crunched and usually not enough benches to use. I left another local gym to come here for the pure fact of wanting to get in, Work out and not be bothered. The first couple weeks it was fine and then I guess t... read more

The gym has invested more money into getting a few more Rogue Barbells. Definitely a great sign. It seems like it's getting a bit more crowded, but not a big deal. Great job, keep up the good work!

I've been a member at this location for more than 10 years and although I'm not ripped and athletic at this juncture, that is not a reflection of the gym. At all. There is something for everyone here. Weight machines. Lots of free weights and benches. Cardio machines. Saunas and well appointed locker rooms. Classes led by coaches who have been around for many years. They have an active basketball court that sometimes doubles as a circuit training area for boot camp "trainees". And some racks, weights and medicine balls you'd... read more

Typical gym issues - poorly maintained cardio equipment. Literally day to day on which machines work - including individual TVs that seem to get certain channels or not with no way to predict what works. I go there Daily and have literally gone from one machine to another multiple times to find one where everything works. This happens at least a couple times a week. In addition, apparently this is a night club - judging by the volume of the music. Is there anyone who doesn't wear headphones at the gym these days? And you sti... read more

I've never taken any classes here but I have been quite a few times for cardio & weights... The machines could use some updating - some are outdated and squeaky at times. However, they do have a couple of machines that other locations do not have so that's nice. I do like the setup, though. This isn't my "home location" but if I lived nearby and this had to be my primary gym, I'd probably choose to go to another newer gym chain not too far up the road.. especially with the price difference. There's hardly ever anyone at the ... read more

It's a good gym. It's just trying to be too much. Its a smaller location in a strip mall, its not the best spot for it considering they are insisting upon having a full sized basketball court. I'll never understand why they would dedicate 50% of the entire usable space in the building to a sport that is played by less than 5% of the membership. That space is badly needed to spread out their sadly crammed weights and cardio areas. There is virtually ZERO area to stretch and no floor work at all. No place to push sleds, ive li... read more

I love this gym!!!! I just recently switched from the YMCA and was sad to do so since we moved away but I am so glad I joined this gym. The staff is friendly, the equipment is well maintained and clean, there's a cafe for shakes and snacks...I could go on and on. Love it and definitely recommend it!

Great staff. Almost everything you could ask for in a gym. The smoothie bar is clutch when you're in need of anything that you forgot or just have to have. Towel service is standard in all of the Mountainside Fitness clubs. There's mouthwash, Q-tips, & hair dryers in the locker rooms. Plus a steam room and sauna. Get a trainer if you don't know what you're doing or need to change it up because it'll be better for you in the long and short term.
