I took a friend to a date there and had one of the most amazon dates ever, without spending a lot of money.

Although the food was of an ok quality the service at this restaurant was absolutely horrible. I am hoping that he just happened to have a bad day, but our waiter was one of the rudest waiters I have encountered. First, we were with a group of 6 so he was going to have an aromatic tip no matter what. He pushed us towards the $33 tasting menu which did not make any sense for what kind of dinner we told him we wanted; when we said we wanted to order off of the normal menu he once again advised against it with a large attitude.... read more

We had a table of 10 and I was told ahead of time that we would be required to order off a pre-set menu. What I did not understand is that everyone at the ENTIRE table would have to get the exact same course for 8 courses--no flexibility except for 3 vegetarians. Contrast this to other tapas restaurants where half the fun is trying a lot of new dishes at once. I proposed splitting us in half, 5 on one table and 5 on the other, each to select their courses for the 5, but that was refused (which makes no sense because I'm assu... read more

Went to this place for restaurant week. The online menu did not say that it was $33 per person per table. In other words, if you went with 2 people you would pay $66 for the "9" course menu, in which you would select one option for each of the "9 courses." No biggie. However, I don't understand how you could possibly have enough food if you had a larger group. The place was very cramped and noisy. The servers were inattentive the moment we came in however, the actual service was not that bad (although they were very disinter... read more

The food had potential. Hot items were lukewarm at best. Had heard awesome things about the food and restaurant overall, but upon my visit, was underwhelmed. Our server never asked if we wanted drink refills. We had to keep trying to get her attention. it was not a busy time at the restaurant either. Was greeted at the host stand by Walker, he was the most kind and courteous person there. Our waitress did not introduce herself. My group of friends was less than pleased with our experience, maybe will try again after Chicago ... read more

Drink menu seemed promising, but I was less than thrilled with the food. Many of the courses seemed like they started as frozen patties in a freezer box: crab cakes and chicken croquettes especially. I was pleased with the argula salad, which was simple but had strong flavors, mostly due to some high-quality balsamic vinegar. Cauliflower lacked flavor. Dessert was likely frozen. Also, my dining partner and I are both sensitive to MSG and were up all night with hot flashes and heart palpitations. I think if this place put a l... read more

Tapas should have been a way to accommodate 12 people's tastes and dietary restrictions. The website offers a set 8 course menu for large parties. Online it says "one choice per course". Silly me, I assumed it meant per person, but when we arrived, the full sentence was on the menu, "one choice per course per table". Convenient that they leave that part out on the website. Even our waiter admitted "people get mad all the time". Anyway, once we (mostly) stopped being livid about this stupid rule, the food was actually tasty. ... read more

There is really nothing special about this restaurant. The food is fair. Also, it seems that the same sauce was used on nearly all of the dishes that we ordered. A little variety would not be bad. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as a destination. It is fine if you're in the neighborhood and other places are full.

a little disappointed. very creative and comprehensive bar and amazing cocktail list. but Food was so-so. Vegetarian selections were ordinary, and a few seafood ones were also just okay. Service was okay as well; the small plates were kind of just placed at one end of the table where we would have to reach over to get them; not a big deal but just mentioning this because it happened repeatedly and it's kind of a moderately pricy place. I would not recommend if you're looking for great food because it's overpriced for its qua... read more
