Excellent care. He fully explained the care options and the results were great.
Dr. Viens and his team seem very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained my situation. My main displeasure was that, my surgery was the last one scheduled on a Friday, and everyone seemed in a rush to get me done and out of there. I’ve been a patient of TOA/Emerg Ortho for over 10+ years and seeing Dr Viens for several years; and about to have a 2nd surgery in 2024.. I wouldn’t return if I wasn’t comfortable w/his care.. He has always treated me w/respect plus ask my opinion when it came to my health..
Dr Viens is top tier. Smart guy with cutting edge training, experience and absolutely has my confidence. You need ankle surgery? See him. He operated on my daughters ankle when she had a serious soccer injury. She now run’s marathons and scuba dives. So minute the I knew I needed surgery on my foot I went straight to him. Seriously at least get a second opinion from him before choosing your surgeon
Very professional, knowledgeable, well educated in his field. Did an excellent job on my surgery and managed my recovery well.
I met Dr. Veins after breaking my ankle and foot in 2020. Having seen many doctors in my life for various conditions, I was grateful to have such a competent doctor, who is also polite. As a patient, you don't always get both.
Was very attentive until around 5 months post op for a lisfranc injury. I was experiencing swelling, tightness and pulling pain in my foot, making it hard to walk. Going down steps was torture. Dr Viens was adament it was nerve pain, but after an ultrasound, I was no longer confident with my treatment. Received a 2nd opinion at UNC 6 months post op. CT confirmed lag screw was not where it was supposed to be as well as arthritis between 2nd and 3rd metatarsal. Had hardware removal surgery 4 days later at UNC ACC and recovery ... read more
