All of the staff was accommodating of my dog who is dog aggressive. The office already requested records from my vet in Colorado prior to our visit. I had 3 issues I wanted to address and all of them were covered within the time of our visit.

I know I have built the Cat Section since 1979 here, along with Jane the front desk clerk. I have been here since then, Dr. Tollon at the time was my dr for my kitties. I have had 18 cats since 1980. now we are down to two... for now and 2 doggies.. but i have to tell you the love for these doctors here, Dr. Bonasera, Dr. Mackenzi, Dr. Ashkew and the other doctors here there are so many I know i left you out but im am sorry.. maybe its me getting demenia not my cats.. hahha... Today I took my dog for an appointment and we did not have to wait. The receptionist was very aknowledgeable on the specific paperwork we required. The technician was very cheerful, which was helpful to relax my pet, and very thorough as to the questions asked before the doctor's examination. She seemed to really enjoy taking care of my animal. What a great place with excellent care for our dog. We visited from NY and had to bring Lucy in for an ear infection. She got top notch care from reception to the technician to the doctor. The emailed report card was great for us to share with her regular vet and had all the instructions for us to follow. Would highly recommend them as they were also highly recommended to us.

We have been coming here for a few years and in April we lost the fur love of our lives-Sammie. We recently took out new fur baby, Xena for her first visit and the entire staff was so happy to meet her. Dr Raver was even showing her off to other Dr's! We absolutely love this hospital and would highly recommend them to anyone!!

We have only been with Oakhurst for a few months but with 3 pets (one being a puppy) we've been a few times this year! I have to say that each visit has exceeded expectations... especially Dr Donovan. She's taken my difficult 65 lb hound mix and handled him each time. When your Dr lays on the floor to get an aspirate of a lump on his chest while I hold him up by the arm pits and the vet tech feeds him peanut butter... you know you've found someone who's willing to not only do what it takes to get results but work with the ... read more

First visit since I just moved back to FL. I absolutely loved my dogs old vet when we lived here before, but being in Seminole now, it's about a 30-35 min drive. So, I agonized over what to do and finally decided to go with a new vet closer to my new home. After some research and recommendations I chose Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital. I told myself that if I wasn't 100% happy then I would then take her back to her old vet. We'll be staying! Not one thing in particular, it just felt right.

Had good experience but it can get better. This would require the vet to perform my dogs exam 100% in frony of me.

Wait time is never more than a few minutes. Technician gathers all the information regarding the appointment along with any other concerns to share with Dr Donovan. They explain the course of action and any associated costs before proceeding. Always very careful with my dog because they know she's very protective of me. Very pleased that I started coming here!
