received a message today from orkin requesting a call back. when i spoke to a representative i was surprised that i have an outstanding balance of $92 for service rendered on Oct 25 which was about 2 weeks after i had cancelled my service. after being on hold for 5 min, i was assured by the operator that the charge would be waived free of charge gee, thank you orkin for the favor!! . they still dont have their stuff together!! avoid at all cost or be left with shady lingering customer service.
We had used Orkin in the past for local treatment and thought their work and service was pretty good. We went with them again for a fumigation which was a painful experience. The Orkin man came to do an initial inspection and he was very friendly. But you can tell he was rushing and was talking a mile a minute. TL;DR Do not waste your time with Orkin. I waited 4 hours for a no-show despite calling multiple times to confirm the appointment. I have been waiting for the inspector for 4 hours and have called 3 separate times today to confirm the appointment and get a better ETA. Each time, the call center assured me they have reached out to the inspector and will have the inspector text me an ETA. This occurred a couple of years ago but it still irks me! That's how poor the service was. I had called to request an estimate for getting rid of an ant problem plaguing my home. The person on the other end replies that they do not give estimates over the phone and a technician needs to be present at the location to accurately determine the extent of the problem as well as the solution plan. I wish I have read yelp reviews before I paid for service. terrible customer service, The technician assigned to my account decided not to show up for his appointments, I rescheduled my appointment 3 times because of no show . I finally had to give up and cancel my service because I cannot pay for a service I am not getting. total disappointment.
In their office is a banner which they all signed saying "Auto-pay is the way they stay". TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT & CUSTOMER SERVICE MIXED WITH INCOMPETENCE, EMPTY PROMISES AND OVERPRICING Such a horrendous experience and it's not done yet. A property I manage had three units with bed bugs. Their rep, Pram, signed us up for a $4790. (let's just call if 5K) heat treatment. A week later I took a video of a live bedbug moving around. Do not make scheduled appts with Orkin they will be 2hrs late. When they do come out they don't do much at all because ants are still coming into my house!
Everyone I have spoken with at Orkin has been very nice and helpful and I really like our service technician, but, we have had an ongoing ant issue in our townhouse for several weeks. I called Orkin twice to come out and spray. I was expecting a better "investigation" on where the ants were coming from. The guy just came in, sprayed around the baseboards and out front then left. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! A technician came out named Pram and told me I had bed bugs. I had covers on my box spring and mattress and he didn't even take them off to inspect it. I even collected a bag of the bugs which he took and said they were bed bugs. He pushed a heat treatment on me for 3K and I nervously scheduled it. SCAM! I had another company come out who verified I don't have bed bugs at all. I cancelled the appointment and am so happy I didn't get ripped off by Orkin. Thanks for nothing.
