This isn't a review on the pest control but on the customer service I called for a free quote and the lady was kinda rude off the bat but not it way that would make me wanna leave this review right away but she gave me the prices which weren't bad but I was told to look at multiple just so we can compare and when I told her that she just got a major attitude Like I disrespected Orkin for saying that just because I wasn't sure I wanted to go threw with Orkin I wish I got her name but she didn't state it during the call
I've had their service for 3 years, and recently moved to a new house. Although the new owners had treated for termites, I went ahead and contacted them to treat the property and make sure the termites were gone. A few months later, I contacted them again upon discovery of termites in the gazebo, about 15 feet from the house. They refused to service the gazebo, and I'm not really sure why. If you have a rat issue, don't go with Orkin. They are the worst. They don't fix the source of the problem but they just put trap. We have a rat issue since September and the orkin guys come every now and then bit still the rays are there. I give them 0 rating.
Had an appointment from 8-10am. Was told at 5min before 10am, that technician would arrive between 11-11:30am. Canceled the appointment and service contract with Orkin at that point.
I really wish I could write KB's review since we had called on the same day and had very similar situations. The Friday before labor day, wasps were surrounding our house and hanging outside of our doors, windows, everywhere basically. We had to run in and out to avoid them coming in. My husband had a long work week up ahead and we have a one year old, so we called Orkin being that it was right before Labor Day weekend. Orkin came out the first few times and was great but after a few months was it was horrible. They take your money with no problem and drop off the face of the earth. They make appointments don't show up. Bill you when they don't show up. The customer service sucks. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. This low review is not about the tech that comes to the house, it's about their customer service and manager. First off the company never calls to notify you the tech is coming to the house. I have pets and a locked rear yard. If they don't notify me the yard is locked. I went on vacation and the tech called (that time) I told him to skip a month as I was not going to be there for several weeks. I should have read the reviews here first. I had a yellow jacket hive, to which the technician that came out said he didn't know what to do about and that he'd come back after consulting someone else. He came back the next morning and simply put dust on it. A week later he no-showed, and I called for a new tech because the hive was still active. I called Orkin plus two other companies for my free annual termite inspection. This is the first time I used Orkin and I have to agree with many reviews. Derrick Nesbitt came and welcomed himself into our backyard opening the side gates WITHOUT EVEN KNOCKING OR INTRODUCING HIMSELF and started measuring my place. After measuring the place and without any inspection done, he started quoting me for the treatment and began selling their products.
