Zero star if Possible. We are a couple living in an apartment complex. We found a possible roach on our glue trap last Wednesday. Even though we haven't seen a live one since, I insist on getting pest control involved. Our leasing office helped us get an appointment with Orkin for that Friday. Orkin, an absolutely horrible experience. Everything went wrong. We purchased their service and paid for a start-up fee and on going maintenance. They first send us two guys, very polite but clueless, they were not adequately trained. They put half dozen traps. 6 days later and after 4 visits, 3 of which were no shows (they gave us a 2 hours window but nobody showed up and no warning). So we ended up waiting 6 hours for nothing. Stay Away! Save your money and hire a company that knows what they are doing. Let me start by saying we had rats in our attic. Orkin came and did the initial rat "inspection and proofing" but refused to go into the crawl space or the attic except for laying a few traps right next to the entrance (even though I specifically requested someone to inspect the attic and the manager guaranteed they would.) I want to begin by stating that Orkin is the absolute worst!!! The representative who came by was a statesman. Johnny was his name and he was wonderful. He knew his business, was very prompt and totally businesslike. It was because of him that we decided on his company. He did a thorough inspection of our home and found that we had bedbugs in only one room. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I spoke with the pest controller who would be coming out to see about our budding rat problem (a rat in the garage) on the same day he arrived. Upon arrival, while standing below the front porch, he claimed that he was told he would be dealing with mice, not rats (even though I talked to him over the phone about an hour before) and that he would be leaving immediately unless we signed up for a year long contract that cost $300+ a month. I called Orkin regarding some menacing wood bugs in my home and furniture. The phone rep described that they could provide solutions to the pest concerns, and I scheduled an appointment. Had the rep visit the house but he didn't seem to offer much confidence in his knowledge of the pests. He did want to offer the yearly plan for spot treatment but I needed to know if that doesn't take care of it what are the next steps/options. Broudy S. We have a rat problem in a detached garage. Called Orkin, they put out traps and the rats ate the bait and the traps did not engage. They came up with all kinds of reasons why they were not catching rats and not looking at the fact that their traps don't work. Orkin's response: these are the only traps we have, so I canceled my contract. Their employees are not that bright, no solutions, just excuses.

been using orkin for over a year now. i tried to reach them 6/24/19 and 6/25/19 and was put on hold several times over 50 mins each time (by the way all the phone numbers you find on the net go directly to the same in-house answering marketers. if you need new service they answer, if you have a question, which i did, your put on hold FOREVER.... I spoke to darrell, sandy and betty because i could not get call backs from messages and when transfered to hold for service. i reached robin through new service and she contacted a... read more

This company is ridiculous. I got hung up on by man who answered because I would not give him my last name when I called trying to get information. I called back which was 510 340 3958, and a woman answered and I asked where they are at and she said I called a call center in Atlanta. So who ever that jack a** who was working this morning is needs to get another job and learn how to not lose a customer. Because of him, I will never do business with ORKIN. Bye.
