Dr Mackoul was incredibly nice and gave wonderful time to thoroughly explain my procedure, and why it would be done in a specific way. He was great with answering my post-op questions even late on a Friday night. Scheduling was as easy as remembering to call!
I felt confident and comfortable with the Doctor. Dr. MacKoul has a very calming and soothing demeanor which is a plus especially in times of anxiety. The surgery center and his facilities were immaculately clean, spacious and quiet unlike many busy hospitals. His medical staff from the nurses to the anesthesiologist were all caring, attentive and friendly. They were also funny and helped to lighten the situation before my surgery. Great nurse and doctors, the place was clean and safe.
I has laprascopic myomectomy in Feb 2014. During my surgery, interaction with surgeon, nurse and anesthesiologist was great. Dr. MacKoul is very professional, experienced and provided confidence before the surgery. He follow up with his patients very quickly. He called back very quickly to address my concerns. Dr. MacKoul was recommended to me by a colleague and I was very pleased with his knowledge. I had two surgeries done by him and would choose him again.
Apart from being a very skilled surgeon, Dr. MacKoul is extremely knowledgeable of women’s issues. I felt very confident in his ability because he clearly explained my issue and the necessary steps he would take to correct it. In our discussion I sensed the element of concern he shows for his patients when he told me the urgency with which he moves when cancer is diagnosed. This Dr. Is awesome. Truly a gifted and skilled expert in his field as a surgeon. I would recommend him to any female I know that is in need of a gynecology surgeon.
Dr. Mackoul is incredibly knowledgeable & skilled, he relieved my pain quick and easy. When I went to see him he explained to me the minimally invasive approach that he developed - laparoscopic surgery using only two small incisions. He explained how this type of approach decreases postop pain and shortens recovery time. I must say my recovery has been fantastic!!! I feel great, healthy and pain free after having minimally invasive surgery that barely left any scars. I am so glad I found Dr. Mackoul! I recommend him 100%
Overall the experience was quite good. Better yet the outcome was positive with no major side effects. I would recommend the doctor and office to others.
