We moved our Co payroll from ADP to Paychex 3rd Qtr 2024. Paychex has FAILED to file quarterly ***orts and now the *** is sending a Notice of Intent to ****. Paychex uses unfair and deceptive practices in order to upsell unsuspecting business owners. They told us we legally had to use their 401k plan. All of our employees opted out. Paychex kept charging us fees and refused to allow us to close the account. We've called Paychex HR, Paychex 401k, emailed our account representative, and even emailed the ****** review team and we get no where. Paychex does not have customer service for employees. Any employee technical issue (and I've experienced one every single time I've tried to simply log in to Paychex) is deferred to the employer. The entire purpose of a third party payroll company is to increase the efficiency of payroll. All Paychex does is give employers the added responsibility of working tech support for them.

Paychex is the worst company. The reps. are horrible the efficiency is horrible. nobody knows anything correct. They have the ability to go in and out your account to collect payroll, that is to be expected. You receive no notification when payroll is rejected from someone's account. They go into your main account and collect funds a few times from the company. Been using Paychex for a few years now for my clients' payroll accounts. The past two years, they have shown no interest in supporting my clients when issues arise on their end. Worst payroll company. You can not cancel with them. They are like a GYM membership. They did not pay my state taxes on top of it, and now I owe the state over $7000. They took $3k for an ERTC credit, and it has been over three years, and nothing has happened. On top of it, they sue me for unpaid membership, and their lawyer keeps harassing me.
