We have been a customer of Paychex, as a small business, for almost 24 years. Most recently, as a result of their confusing invoices for the over charging on administrative fees, and an oversight on our part, they stopped our payroll and held up our employee paychecks due to the invoice not paid. We are a small, family-owned business that signed on with ***** nearly 30 years ago. We remained loyal even after they were acquired by Paychex, trusting that our long history would continue to be valued. Unfortunately, the opposite has happened. This company has been giving me the worst service of any company ever recently! They are unresponsive and do not know how to do their jobs. They do not reply to phone calls, emails and when they do their work has deteriorated . They may be going out of business??

Terribly rude for no reason. Ask a simple question and it’s like you slapped their mother, no matter who you speak with. Unpleasant and u happy as if phone calls are a burden.
Paychex is maybe the biggest scam on Earth. I own three small businesses (30+ employees total), just moved every one of them to Gusto which isn't necessarily the best solution out there, but they have good customer support and aren't, like, criminally negligent. Paychex botched my payroll taxes for every single organization for over a year. They ran up insane penalties and fees with state agencies they wouldn't reimburse us for. If you leave Paychex and they "accidentally" file your Year End reports including W2's, 940's, 941's. They do not take ownership to correct the situation. If you leave them and go to another company they will not help at all. They have put my business in a very difficult situation - and charged me even though they had documentation that said they were not authorized to file any thing on my behalf.
