Terrible customer service. My account manager has changed five times in a year. They do not hurry to help with questions and sometimes never get back to you. When trying to fix a problem they will go in circles and never end up getting to a solution. They just keep passing it on to the next person. Absolutely awful experience.

Paychex is an absolute NIGHTMARE!! (And how do they have an A+ rating with the BBB??? What a joke!) My experience is the same as everyone else's, there are hidden fees, no one can answer questions, and their employee turnover rate is astronomical, so no one has any real experience or even cares. We left Paychex at the end of 2023, (after giving them 3 months' notice!) and they were still trying to charge my accounts 5 months later. I am seeking the return of my funds. I ordered one (1) Spin brush but was charged for 4. I returned all 4, unopened, and have been given the runaround ever since. This has been going on for a month. Constant excuses and ridiculous emails.

I was using a local service and was promised a better service from paychexs which I don’t receive . When on boarding I had told the rep the amount I pay and was promised that they would match that they didn’t! In fact I was charged more and when asked what this $240 was for plus my weekly fee I got some response about admin fees which I was NEVER TOLD ABOUT. They have over drawn my account and do not respond when I call about these frees and now I have a bill for $685 . As a small business trying to survive things like this ... read more

Paychex is awful and all they want is your money at all costs. They promise all these things that seem great and your left in the dark. DIfferent reps reach out by phone and email asking to try and go over things with you and you finally say yes and they don't ever get back to you or all they do is try and sell you things. I had it happen when I was going to do time and attendance with our account and canceled it because they weren't truthful. Paychex is a Nightmare! Run from this company. I've dealt with terrible service for over 2 years and getting worse by the day, which has cost our company a lot of money and burdened our entire internal team having to fix so many problems (Payroll, Benefits, 401k, etc.). The level of incompotence is remarkable in every department at Paychex.

After being a Paychex customer for 7 years after my CPA retired, I kept hoping things would improve, unfortunately it continued to get worse. No one knows who you are - you're just a number. There are so many departments and they have no idea what the other departments are doing. Concerns don't get addressed, just bumped to another department (assuming anyone actually responds). Every pay period had errors or late direct deposits or tax mistakes. I still have not been able to resolve tax issues from 2 years ago - just keep g... read more
