Wish there was zero stars. Switched to them Jan 1, 2023, will be switching again Jan 1, 2024 despite how horrible switching payroll companies is. They failed to file/pay our state taxes in Q1 despite taking the money out of our payroll. I've been battling them since May 2023 to get them paid/filed with the state. Here we are at almost year-end, and still not filed. At this point I'm going to file/pay myself, and then my lawyer can discuss with Paychex on getting our $$ back. Stay far away!
Unethical, non-responsive and incompetent. If I could give 0 stars I would… STAY AWAY FOR PAYROLL SERVICES! They never filled any of my quarterly paperwork, even though my agreement stated they were responsible. I got constant letters from the state for unpaid wage taxes, UC and other missing reports. Paychex did not respond, did not support and refused to pay any back dated reports they never filed on my behalf. DO NOT use this company!
This company is absolutely horrible. It should be reported to the government or something it’s ridiculous. They took $400 out of my husband‘s paycheck said it was for a 401(k) that he was never told about never received any information and never put his legal signature on anything concerning a 401(k) plan. we have been waiting for two months now to get that money and they will not return it. I am living a nightmare with Paychex. This business needs to be shut down. Amongst many issues we've had with them in the past, now we just found out that they were not deducting the correct rates from our employee for the health care benefits. They seem to not be able to fix the rates at this point. They won't reimburse us for their mistake and are expecting us to eat the cost. It’s the worst company I ever dealt with. Came in and promised to lower our cost of payroll, sales person never mentioned the rates were only for three months promo. Fourth and fifth month, our charges were 4 times more than what they quoted. From that point on, all went to hell. By the time, I switched back to our old company, we were over charged almost $2 on two months. And, they would not stop drafting our accounts either. Horrible. I opened an IRA to roll my 401k from paychex to my new Ira. They sent me the check and not ro the Ira I opened. I'm sure this nightmare isn't over. Paychex wouldn't accept the request from my Ira.... they insisted on sending me the check to forward to the new company
As a small nonprofit business (less than 5) this company was recommended by CPA. Started with with 5/31/23 PR, the 1st 5 bi-weekly pays went well THEN. 6th- Pd 1 hrly, not the 3 salary. 7th- checks lost had to pay inhouse-lady was unsure how to handle reissuing. 8th- checks lost reissued but processed 46hrs not 60hrs. They drew down money to pay the 60 hr check, then drew down a 2nd time at46 hrs. It took from 9/6 to 9/28 to get a partial refund and as of today 10/11, we are still due taxes and fees. This company is terrible! Our agency payroll has issues every pay period. I have been given 3 payroll specialists in less than 6 months. We pay for the top package with Paychex however can't access any of the services we pay for. Supervisors call with apologies, however, the issues continue. This company is fraudulent!
The ABSOLUTE WORST payroll company around. The majority of the reps are incompetent and unprofessional. Our latest issue...the straw the broke the camel back was our rep shared salary information for the entire company (including the owners) with an unauthorized employee. You would think someone would have an understanding or training of that being confidential information unless that individual is authorized on the account.
