Terrible customer service ! Spend all their efforts on selling additional products and not servicing our account
Unreliable, undependable for what they bill themselves as doing--payroll; they miss small things resulting in large penalties from the State for not filing routine the paperwork they are paid to do or deducting taxes they should. The are subdivided into branches covering different aspects, no one communicates. As someone mentioned below, a ZERO would be an appropriate rating. All I had to cover were 2 people and they screwed that up. A disgrace
As a small business this corporation cost me much more than the services rendered. My 401k program through Paychex literally drained my account making paying bills impossible. Over 6 months I put away almost $1000 then decided that I wasn’t making enough money to proceed with the retirement plan. Worst company ever, charge you even after closing account. It’s fraudulent how they run their operation.
I work in HR- In my unfortunate encounter with Paychex Payroll, I experienced an appalling level of incompetence and disregard for the financial well-being of my company. The magnitude of their mishandling of my company's payroll is simply unforgivable. It all began with their failure to accurately input the correct direct deposit dates for my employees' paychecks, leading to a chaotic chain of events. Absolutely the worst! They screwed up payroll tax and medical deductions for employees. Tried to contact them multiple times over several weeks and they never responded. I had to keep calling them and message them and still not resolved. Totally incompetent.
Terrible customer service and communication. They took out over $600 from my account without any notification. I am a new business with only 2 employees so funds are tight. All they had to do was tell me that this start up fee was going to be taken out and on what date so I could plan accordingly. Once I learned that they took the money I started calling and emailing to complain. Then I suddenly received and email Invoice stating they were taking the money out. payroll errors period after period with different payroll specialists. Deducted payroll from the business bank account twice which was over $20,000 overdraft. Pay staff for less hours that what it was sent!
I agree I had tried to work with Paychex's several times and got denied and they lost my documents so could not clam for my ECT benefits from year 2021
