Not happy with this pet clinic. Vets are rushing us out the door and the bill is always pretty high. Lack of communication from the vets and other staff. Plus their system of getting flea and/or tick preventatives is poor. They only want you to get it from them and they sell it at higher rate than other pharmacies. They used to be better. Now, quality is low and price is high.

No stars really....I took my miniature poodle to Pender Veterinary clinic in May of 2024 for vomiting. They charged me over 700 dollars for an emergency visit for an ultrasound and sent me home with medication to stop him from throwing up. I brought him back 4 days later because he was still sick. Then, they told me a million seriously terrible things were wrong with him that they somehow did not catch in the first sonogram, but NEVER did they say that he had anything wrong with his heart. I got a bit of sticker shock yesterday after bringing my dog in for a routine nail trim About 6 months ago a nail trim was $25; yesterday it was **$51.** That’s more than double and our inflation isn’t anywhere close to that. The cashier explained $31 was for the trim itself and - get this - $20 was a fee for using the technician to do the 10 minute trimming!?! Dr. Denny & Nurse Torey were wonderful. I was asking the Dr a couple of questions and seemed he didn’t directly answer me. Also, I had to asked twice about the anal glad to check. It hasn’t been expressed for a long time. They prescribed me the heart, flea, tick chewable tablets (6 pills) and the charge was $390.86. While I appreciate not being harassed they could do better with reminders. Also I think it was a little deceptive bc I brought both of my dogs in for nail trimming and one had another visit so for one i expected but the other they charged me $31 plus another $20 for tech fee without first informing me of the extra charge or increase in trim cost. All of the amazing vets they have no longer seem to be around and they never have availability when you call or seem to care. The last 2 times I came in (once for my cat having a bloody ear, the second time I came back in with the same cat and his eye was closed shut with pus) - both times they handed my cat back still as is, with no diagnosis, and they didn't even clean his eye/ear out. I want to give this veterinary 5 star since the staffs are really nice and mostly pretty fast but I did have terrible experiences. Dr. Dickerson terribly miss diagnosed my pet. I mean, even a person who doesn't know anything about a dog could tell my dog was having a severe skin issue. Instead of narrowing down possible cause she just gave my dog bunch of anti itching medicine for temporary solution. I didn’t have a good experience when I took my dog to do part 1 of the identification process required for an upcoming move to Australia. The USDA accredited vet needed to scan the dog’s microchip and take a photo of the scanner, with visible microchip number, and a significant part of the dog in the image. I provided official documentation with all steps of the process required (to take one picture) and still had to talk the vet and staff through it. Took my dog there just yesterday to emergency ER he had scheduled after explaining my financial situation over the phone day before and such they said they work with me well I get there nobody knows apparently then what I was told yesterday happens to be not true information by the vet doc who seen my dog it’s very upsetting but it’s the only and last cash of mine to be spent there didn’t even get a chance to really talk about my dog or know anything at all about his visit just meds giving
